HOURS: 20–40/wk, flexible around class
PAY: $20 – $25 / hour
ELIGIBILITY: Juniors, seniors & recent grads

THE POINT OF THIS INTERNSHIP
It is designed to convert. We hire our Associates from this program wherever we can — so treat it as a long interview, and we'll treat you like a future colleague.

Who we are

Buying Simplified runs finance and procurement operations for high-growth companies — accounts payable, procurement, month-end close, ERP support, and controls. Our clients range across life sciences and healthcare, fintech and technology, and private-equity-backed businesses. Some are heading toward an IPO, some toward an exit, all of them growing fast — and they trust us to run the work that has to be right.

We also build our own AI platform, GenieWorks, on Anthropic's Claude and AWS. You'll use it.

What you'll actually do

Not filing. Not fetching coffee. You'll be embedded with a client finance team here in Broward County, working alongside our delivery team on:

• Process documentation — capturing how finance and procurement processes actually work, step by step, with system screenshots, building the foundation companies need before an audit, a diligence process, or an IPO
• Accounts payable and procurement support — invoice processing, vendor onboarding, exception research
• ERP work — hands-on experience in a live enterprise system like SAP
• AI-assisted operations — using our Invoice Genie tooling for data extraction, matching, and duplicate detection
• Month-end close support — reconciliations and reporting alongside experienced professionals

What you'll walk away with

• Real ERP experience on your résumé, which is rarer among graduates than you'd think
• A working understanding of what auditors look for and why controls matter — the thing accounting classes describe but rarely show you

How we treat interns

Interns aren't a separate class of person here. You get a company laptop and access to the same AI tooling our clients use, a named mentor on the delivery team, and an invitation to team events and offsites. Where timing works, we'll send you to an industry conference — the kind of thing most people wait years for.

Convert to full-time and you pick up the rest: 401(k) with company contribution, hybrid working, an annual wellness allowance, and a funded learning budget for certifications like the CPA.

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
• Solid Excel skills
• Careful, detail-oriented, and comfortable asking questions when something doesn't look right
• Professional presence — you'll be working on a client's site
• Reliable transportation to the Sunrise / Fort Lauderdale area
• Conversational Spanish is a plus, not a requirement

Direct exposure to how companies prepare for audits, diligence, and going public. Practical experience applying AI to finance operations. A genuine shot at a full-time offer.
