Laboratory Quality Control Specialist

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an Laboratory Quality Control Specialist , you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  1. Conducts comprehensive clinical laboratory quality reviews to evaluate compliance with quality management system requirements, quality standards, accreditation criteria, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  2. Evaluates clinical laboratory operations, testing methodologies, quality controls, and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, accreditation standards, and laboratory quality requirements.
  3. Assesses laboratory processes, procedures, and quality management activities to ensure compliance with established policies, operating procedures, and quality assurance requirements, while identifying and resolving deficiencies.Basic Qualifications:

    Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.


    OR

    Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

    AND

    Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
  4. Conducting clinical laboratory quality reviews to assess compliance with quality management system requirements.
  5. Evaluating clinical laboratory operations for adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards.
  6. Assessing clinical laboratory processes for compliance with established policies and procedures.
