WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will:

  • Coordinate with contracting officers, CORs vendors, and manufactures to provide technical requirements and support compliant efficient purchasing and storage agreements.
  • Respond to requests for information and technician support from federal, state and local stakeholders.
  • Participate in emergency operation exercises and field deployments, executing logistics tasks that may involve rapid procurement support, coordination with contracted transport vendors, and oversight of material movement.
  • Draft, update, and refine logistics plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational procedures.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year  specialized experience to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Planning and overseeing materiel management functions, including acquisition, inventory control, maintenance, and transportation, to support response operations.
  • Coordinating materiel accountability and distribution processes to ensure resources are efficiently deployed during emergency or operational activities.
  • Evaluating and improving materiel management processes to optimize readiness, compliance, and logistical performance during response efforts.
