Associate, Client Operations

Job Title - Associate, Client Operations & Account Management

About Buying Simplified

We run finance and procurement operations for high-growth companies — accounts payable, procurement, vendor onboarding, month-end close, ERP support, and controls. Our clients span life sciences and healthcare, fintech and technology, and private-equity-backed businesses. What they have in common is that they’re scaling fast, and the finance work behind them has to be right every single time — because audits, diligence, and IPOs are on the horizon.
We’re not a staffing firm, and we’re not a consultancy that writes a report and leaves. We own and run the work as a managed service. Our clients keep us for years — often through their IPO, their exit, or their next stage of growth.
We also build our own AI. Our GenieWorks platform, built on Anthropic’s Claude and AWS, automates invoice processing, duplicate detection, and fraud controls inside the services we deliver. You’ll work with it directly.

The role

We’re opening our South Florida presence, and we’re hiring an Associate to be our face on the ground here.
This is two jobs in one, and both matter. You’ll make sure the daily work runs beautifully — and you’ll own the relationship: the first person the client calls, the one who catches an issue before it becomes a complaint, and the one who spots where we could be doing more for them.
You’ll start with our anchor client in Sunrise, embedded with their finance team several days a week. As we grow across South Florida’s life sciences, healthcare, fintech, and private-equity community, your portfolio grows with it.

What you’ll do

Own the relationship

Be the client's face. The first call, the familiar name, the person who knows their business. You represent us, and you make it easy to work with us.
Manage escalations end to end. When something goes wrong, you own it — acknowledge fast, coordinate the fix, close the loop, and make sure the root cause doesn’t come back.
Run the governance rhythm. Weekly operational touchpoints, monthly working sessions, and support for quarterly business reviews with client leadership.

Grow the account

Spot the opportunity. You’ll see where the client is struggling before anyone else does. Surface it, and help shape what we could take off their plate.
Make the case. Build the pitch with our specialists, bring the right expert into the room, and help move it to a yes.
Share in the upside. When the account grows or you upsell additional services, you earn a spot cash award for it — paid promptly, not deferred to an annual cycle.

Run the operation

Keep the daily rhythm tight. Support accounts payable and procurement operations, track exceptions, and make sure nothing slips between our delivery team and the client’s finance team.
Own the documentation program. Capture processes as step-by-step standard operating procedures — annotated with system screenshots, mapped to a controls matrix, and organized into an audit-ready evidence pack. It’s what auditors, acquirers, and PE sponsors ask to see.
Support the close and the systems. Month-end activities and reconciliations, plus vendor master data and purchase-to-pay workflows in SAP, NetSuite, or Coupa. We’ll teach you what you don’t know.
Use and improve our AI. Work hands-on with Invoice Genie for extraction, matching, and duplicate and fraud controls- and tell us where it should get smarter.

What we’re looking for

Required

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
-Strong Excel skills and genuine comfort with numbers and detail
-Confident, professional communication — you’ll be the voice of our firm with client staff and their leadership
-Composure under pressure. Escalations are where relationships are won or lost.
-Conscientiousness. The person who notices the thing that doesn’t tie out, and says so.
-Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Fort Lauderdale / Broward County area

Preferred

One to three years of experience in a client-facing role — BPO, shared services, managed services, professional services, or finance operations
BPO or managed-services background — if you’ve worked in one, you’ll understand our model on day one
Account management, client success, or relationship-management exposure
Experience with SAP, NetSuite, Coupa, or similar ERP and procurement systems
Interest in AI and automation applied to real business processes
Conversational Spanish · CPA-track coursework

What we offer

We invest in our people the way software companies invest in engineers — because in a services business, our people are the product.

-Spot cash awards for account growth — when the account expands or you upsell additional services, you share in it directly, paid promptly rather than deferred
- 401(k) with company contribution
- Hybrid working — on-site with clients where presence matters, flexible the rest of the time. We trust you to design how you work best.
- Wellness allowance — a budget for the gym, mental-health support, yoga, or whatever keeps you at your best. Your wellness, your choice.
- Learning budget — certifications (CPA, SAP, CIPS), courses and books, funded rather than just encouraged. We sponsor the credentials that open doors.
- Conferences — we send our people to industry conferences, including early in their careers. You’ll go.
- Recognition that’s immediate — same-week spot awards, plus Client Success Awards when the team behind a win gets named publicly
- Annual team offsite — we’re one team across the US, UK, and India, and we get everyone in a room together
-Paid time off and holidays, plus parental and bereavement leave
-The tools to do the work — company laptop, and hands-on access to the same AI platforms we build for clients.
