Fall 2026 District and Capitol Internship

FALL 2026 DISTRICT & CAPITOL INTERNSHIP

Want to see how Texas actually gets things done? Rep. Salman Bhojani's office is hiring sharp, driven college students for real legislative work in Dallas/Fort Worth and at the Capitol in Austin.

In-person | Part-time (22 hours/week) | Aug. 18 – Dec. 18, 2026 | $400/month | DFW and Austin


 

What you’ll do:

  • Write communications that reach thousands of constituents
  • Dig into legislation and policy that affects your community
  • Create social content and videos that get seen and shared
  • Show up at community events as a representative of the office
  • Spot issues before they become problems
  • Support senior staff with day-to-day operations

Specialized tracks: We also have two openings for students with specific skills and interests:

  • Religious Freedom Caucus: Research, track legislation, and support interfaith outreach for Rep. Bhojani's statewide Religious Freedom Caucus. Best fit for students interested in constitutional law, civil liberties, or faith and public policy.
  • Social Media: Own content creation across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, including short-form video and engagement monitoring. Best fit for students with a real portfolio and an eye for what performs.

You’re a good fit if you:

  • Write clearly, research thoroughly, communicate well, and think on your feet
  • Are curious about how AI and emerging technology can improve government
  • Are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Can commit to 22 hours a week for the full fall semester
