Elementary School Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time to-full-time experienced tutor to join our team! 

Tutors are needed for elementary school-aged students in Chicago to assist students in math, reading, writing, and independent functioning. Tutors would need to support their understanding of educational concepts, assignments, and know how to prepare students for testing and academic success. 

Responsibilities: 

  • help students understand new concepts
  • assist students in preparing for tests and completing assignments
  • teach problem-solving skills
  • prepare supplemental lessons
  • communicate/collaborate with parents and teachers

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Tutor is required
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master's preferred
  • LBS1 certification preferred
  • Patient, understanding, and reliable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to pass a background check
