NUVAS Animal Shelter Technician

The Animal Shelter Technician performs work related to the operation and maintenance of the animal shelter, provides assistance to the public on matters concerning animals, under general supervision provides for the humane care and treatment of animals in the care of the North Utah Valley Animal Shelter, provides clerical support as required, maintains records; performs related work as required.

Performs work involving the operation of a computer, calculator, copy machine, multiple line telephone, and other standard office equipment.  Incumbents in this position perform general record keeping, public assistance, clerical duties to include data entry, records processing and maintenance, word processing, filing, record keeping; also to provide for the humane care and treatment of animals housed at the shelter, evaluation of dogs and cats, kennel maintenance and upkeep, public service and assistance related to animal services; performs related work as required.
