Fall 2026 Undergraduate Internship

The National Security Institute (NSI) is dedicated to strengthening American national security and U.S. global leadership by educating future leaders and advancing actionable solutions based on practical experience. NSI draws on the expertise of its 400+ group of national security, cyber, and tech experts who have held senior positions in the intelligence, defense, technology, and law sectors to put on innovative programming and produce research and policy proposals.

NSI seeks capable undergraduate interns for fall 2026. Interns will support various policy programming efforts, including events, publications, and Congressional outreach, and a wide range of operational and logistical tasks including:

  • Researching timely and critical national security, cyber, AI, and tech topics in support of NSI programming, events, publications, and podcasts.
  • Providing communications, website, and social media support.
  • Supporting NSI’s extensive network of experts.
  • Conducting NSI donor and development research.
  • Providing NSI event support, including marketing and day of support.
  • Monitoring Congressional policy and legislative developments.
  • Providing other logistical and administrative support as needed.

This internship is unpaid and in-person only.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Available to work at least 15 hours a week during regular business hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AI assistants, and related applications.
  • Interest in national security, technology, and foreign policy issues.
