Programming and Events Intern
The Programming and Events Intern will support all community events for the Pledge network, including the Phoenix Generation student network.
Responsibilities:
- Deeply understand and activate the mission of the Phoenix Generation movement and the Central Florida Pledge.
- Assist in planning and executing events, including logistics, scheduling, and coordination of community events.
- Research venues, vendors, and suppliers and make recommendations for hire.
- Collaborate with the marketing team/interns on promotional efforts, including social media and email campaigns.
- Oversee or support event setup, on-site coordination, and breakdown (specific responsibilities will vary based on event staffing).
- Communicate with clients, vendors, volunteers, and team members to ensure smooth event execution.
- Maintain and update event planning documents, budgets, and timelines with the help of the Phoenix and Pledge Coordinators.
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings and organizing materials.
- Work as a partner with all interns, staff, and stakeholders.
- Assist with off campus/community programming:
- Serve as the liaison and support to the VP’s of the Ginsburg Family Foundation for all off-campus partner programming, including Peace Day and Fusion Fest.
- Create a process for and prep all materials as needed for events (these may be in-office, on-campus, or at various community locations). Events are held indoors and outdoors; the role will ensure contingency planning for weather is in place.
