This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.
Your Responsibilities as an Engineer 1 - Environmental Engineer:
- Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples.
- Assist with project engineering design.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Input data into template reports.
What we're looking for:
- BA/BS in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- HAZWOPER certification.
- EIT or PE preferred
- Open to entry level as well as people with experience
- Field data collection.
- Proficiency with MS 365.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
Overview:
- Work alongside P.E. to design and support environmental soil and groundwater remediation projects, including petroleum station remediation.
- Assist with the design, and modification of water treatment systems, and the operations, and maintenance (O&M) existing systems.
- Prepare technical reports for government agencies, clients, and other project stakeholders.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Participate in field work as project needs require. (Typical field time ranges from a few days per quarter to approximately four days per month, with an additional 2–3 weeks of field work per quarter depending on workload/staffing.)
- Perform O&M of remediation systems while becoming familiar with system design and functionality.
- Conduct groundwater sampling for a variety of clients as needed.
- Assist with remediation system installations, startup, and major system modifications in the field.
- CAD experience is a plus but not required. (Candidates with CAD experience may have opportunities to use those skills.)
Role Objective:
Serve as the primary engineering support to the Project Manager, helping keep remediation projects on schedule.
