Job Responsibilities
1. Recycled Copper Sourcing & Procurement
- Take charge of recycled copper raw material procurement across the US market, including No.1 Copper, No.2 Copper, Copper Chops and other copper-bearing scrap materials, to guarantee stable raw material supply for production.
- Develop and manage supplier resources such as scrap metal recyclers, waste processing yards, industrial scrap vendors and traders.
- Conduct procurement inquiries, price analysis and business negotiations, and track purchase order execution and delivery schedules.
2. Supplier Development & Management
- Source new suppliers throughout Texas and nationwide in the US to continuously expand procurement channels.
- Maintain sound cooperative ties with suppliers and build a stable, high-efficiency supply system.
- Visit suppliers and conduct on-site inspections as business demands require.
3. Market Analysis
- Keep track of COMEX copper prices, scrap copper market rates and industry trends, collect market data and compile analytical reports.
- Perform procurement cost analysis to provide data backing for procurement strategy formulation.
- Put forward procurement recommendations and optimize purchasing plans in response to market fluctuations and production demands.
4. Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers and internal departments to ensure raw materials are shipped and delivered as scheduled.
- Monitor transportation progress of purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of materials at the factory.
- Optimize shipping solutions and logistics costs to lift overall procurement efficiency.
5. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all purchased raw materials comply with corporate production and quality specifications.
- Communicate closely with production, quality and other departments to promptly resolve issues arising from material inspection and supplier quality non-conformities.
- Strictly abide by company procurement policies and relevant laws and regulations to ensure fully compliant procurement operations.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Establish and maintain procurement ledgers and supplier information databases to ensure accurate and complete procurement records.
- Regularly organize procurement data and prepare analytical reports covering purchase volumes, price trends and supplier performance evaluations.
- Forecast procurement demands based on production schedules to support data-driven purchasing decisions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, International Trade or other business-related disciplines.
- Excellent English communication skills for business negotiations, supplier communications and daily email correspondence.
- Prior internship or hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain, market analysis, logistics management or business development is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, solid business acumen and team player mindset, capable of fostering positive partnerships with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility, outstanding execution and problem-solving capabilities, able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
- Willing to take short business trips for supplier visits and market research activities.
- Mandatory Requirement: Fluent oral and written Chinese proficiency is required
