ADV Plating—Fall Lab Intern

ADV is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college student to join our Chemistry & Quality departments as a Lab Intern. This is an exciting opportunity for students to learn about laboratory procedures in a manufacturing/production environment. The Lab Intern will support the ADV Chem Technician and ADV Quality Manager in performing activities to maintain the readiness of the plating lines and conducting projects to achieve the company’s strategic goals.

Production hours are Mon-Thurs 6A-4P and Friday 6A-12P.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chem Technician in conducting quantitative chemical analysis (i.e. titration, pH) of solutions used in electrolytic and autocatalytic plating
• Assist the Quality Manager in verifying the thickness of plated parts using XRF spectroscopy and weight gain analysis
• Support quality control processes by maintaining accurate records of analysis
• Prepare charts and reports in MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Conduct research on plating techniques using white papers, technical data sheets, and other source materials
• Assist the ADV Quality Manager in writing procedures that comply with ISO 9001 certification
