At Physicians Mutual, we're looking for an analytically driven actuarial professional to join our Product Management team. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates and early-career actuaries who have successfully completed three or more actuarial exams and are eager to apply their knowledge in a collaborative business environment.

In this role, you'll help shape the future of our insurance products by supporting pricing, product development and long-term business strategy. Working alongside experienced actuaries and cross-functional partners across Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Underwriting and Claims, you'll gain valuable exposure to the full product lifecycle while continuing to advance your actuarial career.

  • Maintain compliance with Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOP) while ensuring work is accurate, well documented and audit-ready.
  • Continue progressing through the Society of Actuaries examination process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative field.
  • Successful completion of at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams with demonstrated progress toward ASA designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and develop meaningful business insights.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with actuarial modeling software such as ALFA, CASE or similar analytical tools is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high-quality work within established deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity, validation and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
