Ripley's Biology/Marine Biology internship

Would you like to expand your animal knowledge? Do you have what it takes to take care of animals and where they live? We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our animal care team. We are committed to developing the next generation of environmental conservationists while inspiring and engaging them in a hands on environment.

Interns rotate between our three departments related to marine biology and care:

  • Education
  • Life support
  • Husbandry

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
• Ability to bend, stoop and stand for up to 6 hours at a time
• Must be energetic, courteous and professional
• Must love talking to people!
• Must be approachable and enthusiastic about communicating with guests
• Must be 18 years of age
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to speak on a microphone
• Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks
