Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Position Summary

The LPCC will provide outpatient behavioral health services, including comprehensive assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and care coordination. This position works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support adults with mental health, and co-occurring disorders, including individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in good standing.
• Master's degree in Counseling or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience providing outpatient mental health counseling is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring disorders is preferred.
• Clinical Supervision Training or being qualified to be trained is preferred

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or related behavioral science.
• Current Kentucky LPCC licensure.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and maintain professional licensure.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• May provide clinical supervision to designated staff as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques and behavioral health interventions.
• Working knowledge of Kentucky mental health regulations, HIPAA, Medicaid documentation requirements, and professional ethics.
• Experience developing individualized treatment plans and conducting ongoing treatment reviews.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and families.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Compassion, flexibility, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide evidence-based individual, group, and/or family counseling services.
• Perform crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs and measurable goals.
• Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required records.
• Conduct regular treatment reviews to evaluate client progress and modify interventions accordingly.
• Diagnose mental health disorders within the scope of LPCC practice using DSM criteria.
• Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, peer support specialists, community agencies, schools, and other healthcare providers.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, Medicaid, and organizational regulations.
• Support the organization's mission by providing compassionate, person-centered behavioral healthcare.

Schedule

• Full-time 8-Hour Shifts
• Monday–Friday
• 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Education

• Master's Degree in Counseling or related behavioral health field (Required)

Experience

• One (1) year of outpatient counseling experience preferred.

License/Certification

• Kentucky Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license (Required)
