Infant & Toddler Teachers – Oak Tree Learning Center (Slauson Ave Campus)

Salary: $18.50 – $25.00/hour (Based on ECE Units & Experience)

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible shifts available to fit college schedules)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | No Nights, No Weekends!

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Provide a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers (ages 6 to 24 months).

Implement hands-on elements of the MAE curriculum, tracking student milestones using the California DRDP continuum.

Teach vital social-emotional skills, fostering confidence, independence, and positive peer behaviors.

Communicate effectively with families and help build strong community partnerships through our MAE Connects Parents events.

Maintain a clean, organized, and state-compliant classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

ECE Units: Must have 12+ Core ECE units completed or in progress (including Child Growth & Development, Child/Family/Community, and Program/Curriculum).

Experience: 6+ months of experience in a licensed childcare center or similar structured setting is preferred (practicum lab experience and volunteer hours count!).

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Licensing & Compliance Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain Title 22 Health Clearance (including negative TB test/clearance and required childcare center immunizations).
  • State Criminal Record Clearance via Live Scan.
  • Current California Mandated Reporter Training Certificate.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
