Education and Outreach Intern
In consultation with the CEO and or authorized representative, the Education and Outreach Intern (volunteer) will be contributing towards the mission of increasing education and awareness regarding human trafficking and violent crime affecting youth and young adults. In addition, the intern will maximize their skills and experience through a variety of career building opportunities:
Education and Outreach Campaign
-Create educational materials (print and virtual).
-Coordinate an outreach and education distribution plan.
-Assist the CEO with outreach/tabling events (set up/break down, organize display and provide information to the public). The Intern will be trained on related topics and talking points. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
Social Media and Video Production
-Social media messaging from the CEO and/or other marketing messaging as determined to increase social media engagements.
-Content development and editing (conference/workshop presentations and innovative animated videos for grade school partners and other educational institutions/programs).
Partnership Engagement:
-Research and coordinate presentations at city council, board of supervisor, school board, advocacy group meetings and pop-and public events such as ups/street fairs/markets.
-Contact school Administrators about the education and outreach campaign through email correspondence and follow up as needed.
-Maintain ongoing presentation schedule and email correspondence.
Grant and Funding Research
-Research grants and private donor funding potentials and
-Conduct outreach using email/phone call scripts and maintain tracking and follow up.
-Provide CEO with quarterly information updates.
General Administration
-Assist with general accounting tasks.
-Set up WooCommerce for the website.
_Assist with tracking of donated miscellaneous items and related sales activity.
