Summary of Position: Under the supervision of the Dean of Academic Excellence, Education, and Human Services, the Manager of Teaching and Learning provides leadership and strategic vision in managing, coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating the college’s academic development needs focused on ensuring that faculty, staff, and administrators have the instructional skills, materials, and background knowledge to achieve student success. In addition, the Manager leads full-time and adjunct faculty professional development activities that include, but is not limited to: excellence in teaching, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and building and supporting inclusive learning environments that honors each learner’s identity. In addition, the Manager also provides credential review, coordinates the performance review cycle with division administrators, and provides onboarding programming and support for all new faculty. The Manager of Teaching and Learning provides a collaborative, team-based approach in working with faculty, academic administrators, and Academic Excellence to ensure quality in teaching and learning to achieve Key Results. This position works to promote educational justice within the division and the larger academic institution.
This is a hybrid eligible position that would allow for 1-2 days a week working from home after the training period.
Essential Functions:
1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required.
2. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.

4. Plan and Facilitate Teaching and Learning - Supporting Action/Task May Include:
- Research, recommend, plan and implement learner-centered methodologies for design, delivery, assessment, and grading of learning
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate faculty professional development at the division, program, course, and individual faculty level, including overseeing the recruitment and development of faculty mentors and coaches
- Guide faculty in evidence-based, differentiated instructional and assessment practices, including strategies that foster flexible learning across modalities (face to face, online, blended, hyflex, etc.)
- Collaborate with academic deans to advance educational justice in teaching and learning in each division, and to provide targeted faculty support as requested/needed.
- Manage outside feedback support to all full time and adjunct faculty members for continuous improvement and performance review requirements in collaboration with Human Resources
- Lead and participate in faculty teaching/learning committees that support the college’s mission, vision, and values, including leading the establishment and evaluation of Communities of Practice
- Participate in system-wide collaboration of Teaching and Learning initiatives to be implemented across the state, including acting as lead representative of the college for state called FQAS meetings
- Manage, co-plan and implement New Faculty Experience and Faculty 101, including managing the completion of Faculty Coaching training for all fulltime faculty
- Assist academic leaders/supervisors (including BIS and DOC personnel) with performance reviews, completion of FQAS certification and teaching/learning feedback that will support their faculty
5. Plan and Facility Program Administration - Supporting Action/Task May Include:
- Manage the Professional Growth Grant to support the professional learning of full and adjunct faculty
- Manage and collaborate with Resource Development and the Foundation to identify and secure resources for faculty development as it relates to teaching and learning
- Manage and review transcripts and experience for all newly hired full and adjunct faculty – and create a plan for meeting the Faculty Quality Assurance System’s teaching and learning certification by the required timeframe established by WTCS
- Review Faculty Professional Learning Plans to inform professional development offerings
- Assist Human Resources in the on-going documentation, development, implementation, and assessment of the New Faculty Experience and adjunct professional development activities
- Manage projects and document deliverables as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years’ teaching experience
- Experience in faculty development roles
- Advanced degree in Education or related discipline

Starting annual/hourly salary range based on education and experience: $62,270 - $82,960
