About A3 Academy
A3 Academy is a year-round baseball academy that combines elite athletic development with academic support for student-athletes pursuing virtual school or homeschool education.
Our students train daily with professional baseball coaches while completing their academic coursework through accredited online learning platforms. A3 provides a structured environment where students can stay on pace academically while pursuing their athletic goals.
The Jacksonville campus serves middle school and high school student-athletes and operates as a full-time educational and athletic alternative to traditional brick-and-mortar schools.
Position Overview
A3 Academy is seeking an Academic Coordinator / Study Hall Facilitator to supervise and assist student-athletes during their daily academic study hall periods.
This position is ideal for a retired teacher who wants to remain active, a graduate student seeking hands-on experience, an adjunct professor looking for flexible daytime hours, a tutor, former educator, or someone who enjoys mentoring motivated students in a non-traditional educational environment.
This is an independent contractor position, not a full-time employee role. The position may also be shared between two facilitators who each prefer to work approximately 2–3 hours per day.
Unlike a traditional teaching position, you will not be teaching from the front of the classroom, creating lesson plans, administering tests, following state standards, or operating under a principal or school district structure. Instead, you will supervise a study hall environment of approximately 15 students at a time, helping them stay on task, navigate challenges, build accountability, and receive tutoring-style support when they become stuck in their virtual coursework.
The Academic Coordinator serves as the primary academic support person on campus, helping students remain on pace, monitoring grades, assisting with coursework, and communicating basic academic progress to families.
