SUMMARY OF POSITION
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Resident Assistant/STNA (Caregiver) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
 

Requirements:

High school education or equivalent

Ohio State Tested Certified Nursing Assistant STNA (if hired as a STNA)

Experience within assisted living facility preferred

Reliable transportation

  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
  • Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
  • Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
  • Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
  • Must understand infection control performance.
  • Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
  • Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
  • Required to make independent decisions.
  • Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
  • May have to work every other weekend/holiday rotation

State Tested Nursing Assistant, Assisted Living, Aide, CNA, STNA, memory care, Resident Assistant, Caregiver
