About Resolute Solutions

Resolute Solutions is a Houston-headquartered Defense IT contractor delivering intelligent automation, SAP modernization, and AI solutions to U.S. military and federal agency customers. We hold triple small business certifications — 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone — and an active Secret facility clearance. Our work supports mission-critical systems at the Defense Logistics Agency, the U.S. Navy, and other Department of Defense organizations.

We don't waste time, talent, or resources. We're growing the next generation of practitioner-engineers — people who can build production-grade automation and AI systems for federal missions — and this internship is the front door to that team.

Program overview

The AI & Automation Internship is a structured, paid program designed to give you real engineering experience. You'll join a small cohort of seniors and progress through two phases:

Phase 1 — UiPath RPA Development: Earn your UiPath Developer certification, build production-grade automations against real business processes, and get embedded in our delivery practices alongside senior engineers.

Phase 2 — AI Development: Build AI-powered tools and agentic workflows using modern frameworks. Design, build, and demo a full-stack AI project of your own choosing to Resolute leadership. Top performers receive full-time offers.

Program length runs 26+ weeks depending on your academic schedule and graduation timeline.

What you’ll do

  • Build UiPath automations against real business processes with code review and mentorship from senior engineers
  • Develop AI-powered features and agentic workflows using modern frameworks and AI coding tools
  • Complete a full-stack AI project of your own design — problem identified, built, deployed, and demoed to the team
  • Contribute to internal Resolute product builds and federal client deliverables
  • Shadow live contract work alongside Resolute engineers on DoD automation and AI engagements
  • Document your work clearly
  • Participate in async weekly check-ins and periodic in-person collaboration days at our Houston office

Required qualifications

  • Rising senior undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, graduating Summer or Fall 2026
  • U.S. citizen — no dual citizenship — and eligible to obtain a Secret-level security clearance
  • Strong programming fundamentals — comfortable in at least one of: Python, JavaScript, or VB.net (C# experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Git, command-line basics, and standard developer tooling
  • Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain what you built and why
  • Technically curious, self-directed, and an independent problem solver — able to complete assigned tasks without constant oversight
  • Available to work 10 hours per week consistently

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior exposure to RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate) or AI/ML coursework
  • Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Internship, capstone, hackathon, or open-source experience that demonstrates shipped work
  • Interest in defense mission work, national security, or government modernization

What you’ll gain

  • UiPath Developer certification — paid at full-time conversion
  • Production AI and automation engineering experience that most mid-career engineers haven’t reached
  • A portfolio of real automations and AI features
  • Mentorship from senior practitioners who actively deliver on federal contracts
  • A direct path to a full-time offer based on demonstrated performance
