HPU (Hanwha Power US) is seeking an Information Technology intern positions in our Jupiter, Florida location.

 

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the latest hardware, software, and cloud-based tools while working alongside top-notch IT professionals who are passionate about mentoring and sharing their expertise in a collaborative environment guided by the ITIL framework.

 

IT Intern – Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities

As an IT Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise technology operations while contributing to key IT initiatives. The primary focus of this role will be supporting the organization's laptop refresh and deployment program.

Laptop Deployment and Asset Management

  • Play a key role in the ongoing laptop refresh and upgrade initiative.
  • Learn and assist with laptop imaging processes, device preparation, and deployment procedures.
  • Coordinate the distribution, collection, and offboarding of employee laptops.
  • Work directly with end users to schedule, prepare, deploy, and support new laptop assignments.
  • Partner with IT engineers to troubleshoot and maintain operating system images and deployment processes.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with IT asset management activities.

Enterprise Systems and Technology Support

  • Learn to configure and support user access to enterprise applications, systems, and IT services.
  • Gain exposure to a wide range of modern enterprise technologies, tools, and platforms used in a professional IT environment.
  • Develop skills in providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to a diverse user community.

Hardware and End-User Support

  • Provide hands-on support for laptops, peripheral devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with hardware maintenance, device deployment, software installation, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support network connectivity, printers, conferencing equipment, and other office technologies.

Professional Development and Cross-Functional Exposure

  • Collaborate with and learn from multiple IT disciplines, including: 
    • IT Management
    • Service Desk and End-User Support
    • Project Management
    • Application Support and Development
    • Infrastructure and Network Engineering

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical technical skills, build professional experience in a corporate IT environment, and work alongside experienced technology professionals on impactful business initiatives.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common productivity tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with ticketing systems or helpdesk software.
  • Knowledge of antivirus and security best practices.
