Jon Academy is an international Math & Science Academy specializing in personalized mentorship for students preparing for ACT/SAT, AP Exams, IB Mathematics, Regents Exams, Kβ12 Math and other advanced high school programs. Last year alone, we supported 200+ students from over 60 nationalities across 7 countries, with tutoring available in English, Spanish, French and German and we're continuing to expand our team of outstanding university tutors.
We're currently looking for a small number of exceptional university students with strong mathematical ability, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically. Our students are primarily based in the United States, Switzerland and Hong Kong. The position is 100% remote, offers flexible working hours around your university schedule and provides the opportunity to make a real impact on students aiming for top universities worldwideπ

Starting Compensation
β’ $30 USD per hour for all live online tutoring sessions.
β’ Tutors are engaged as independent contractors (1099, where applicable), not as employees.
Homework & Student Mentorship
At the end of each lesson, tutors are expected to assign personalized homework and briefly explain the exercises to ensure the student understands what is expected.
Throughout the week, tutors are also expected to:
π Check the student's online whiteboard each day to confirm that the assigned homework has been completed (homework is not corrected during these daily check-ins).
π¬ Stay in regular contact with students through WhatsApp by encouraging them, answering quick questions and reminding them if any homework is missing.

Report any recurring issues (missing homework, lack of communication, etc.) so Jon Academy can follow up with the parents if necessary.
All homework materials, lesson resources and teaching content are provided by Jon Academy, allowing tutors to focus on teaching and supporting their students rather than creating materials from scratch.
π Previous tutoring experience is appreciated but not required. Successful candidates will receive training in the Jon Academy teaching methodology before working with their first student.
Performance Bonus
In addition to the hourly rate, tutors may earn a $50 USD monthly performance bonus for each student who consistently demonstrates excellent progress, accountability and satisfaction.
The bonus is evaluated based on factors such as:
β Student satisfaction and parent feedback.
β Consistent homework follow-up and student accountability.
β Professional communication through WhatsApp.
β Lesson quality and organization.
β Student retention and long-term progress.
β Reliability, punctuality and responsiveness.
Tutors who consistently maintain high standards and build strong relationships with their students will be prioritized for:
