Houston Conservatory of Music is a professional music school opening in August 2026 in Houston's Heights neighborhood (550 Heights Blvd). We are seeking passionate and qualified Music Teachers to join our founding faculty.

Instruments needed: Piano · Violin · Viola · Cello · Voice · Guitar · Ukulele · Bass · Flute · Saxophone

Responsibilities:

  • Teach private weekly lessons (30 or 60 minutes) to students of all ages
  • Participate in group classes and ensemble coaching
  • Prepare students for three annual recitals

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Music Performance or Music Education
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Available afternoons/evenings and weekends

Compensation: $40/hour · Flexible schedule · Starting as a part-time 1099 Independent Contractor with flexible scheduling. As your student roster grows, this role has a clear path to full-time (40+ hours/week).
