Employment Type: Part-time, contract

Pay Rate: $30-40/hr

Required Education: High school Diploma or equivalent

Location: Stockton, CA

Who we are:

At Ignite the Mind, our core purpose is to cultivate a passion for learning. Our collaborative community of passionate educators provides students in grades K-12 with individualized academic support. At this time, we are looking to hire a STEM Instructor

What you'll be doing:

We are seeking enthusiastic STEM Program Instructors to help bring hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math learning to K-8 students in local Stockton schools. Instructors will visit classrooms several times per week to lead engaging, interactive STEM lessons and activities that spark curiosity and build confidence in young learners. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with students and are passionate about making STEM education fun, accessible, and exciting.

We’re looking for instructors who can make learning exciting and help students feel confident exploring science and technology. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners, encourages curiosity, and can turn STEM lessons into engaging, hands-on experiences.

This is not a remote role.We are looking to onboard this individual within the next 5 days.

Schedule:

Mon - Friday

8:30am-2:30pm

Desired skills and qualifications:

  • 2 years of tutoring experience preferred
  • Strong Classroom Management Skills
  • Passion for youth development
  • Ability to interact with students and fellow tutors in a respectful and patient manner
  • Able to adapt teaching techniques to the individual needs of the students
  • Dedicated to student success
  • Willing to commute to assigned school site
  • There are no specific language requirements for this role, but being bilingual in Spanish is a plus
