Academy Director
- Assume responsibility for every aspect of the learning center’s daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting agencies.
- Abide by and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with above-standard quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Adhere to budgetary requirements and control and manage expenses to achieve budgeted profitability.
- Earn and maintain consistent customer satisfaction while maximizing enrollment potential and minimizing student withdrawals.
- Follow all required business-management practices.
- Properly onboard new staff.
- Complete parent and child interviews before enrollment.
- Act as a liaison between teachers and parents to address problems and answer questions.
- Strive to provide a clean, healthy, and active learning environment.
- Ensure efficient and sufficient staff-to-child ratios are maintained and manage staff schedules.
- Escalate safety violations, facility issues, and state agency violations.
- Manage resources to ensure adequate supplies are available to children and staff.
- Use the company’s scorecard reporting and adjust operations as needed to meet requirements.
- Encourage effective, high-quality teaching by ensuring the curriculum is followed, lesson plans are used effectively, and child-assessment tools measure classroom success.
- Ensure the academy operates efficiently and complies with all Brightside Academy policies, state regulations, CACFP requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
- Lead, inspire, and energize the team while holding staff accountable for assigned tasks.
- Clearly communicate staff standards and expectations.
- Provide frequent and concise communication to academy staff regarding company matters.
