Summary

This position sits within the Advisory group of the Financial Security team. The primary responsibilities include reviewing and validating high-risk KYC files and providing AML and/or sanctions-related guidance to Bank staff on proposed transactions. The incumbent is expected to have working knowledge of current anti-money laundering regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate high-risk KYC files to ensure completeness and compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements
  • Review and issue regulatory guidance to Bank staff on proposed activities and transactions
  • Monitor daily transactions to ensure compliance with current BSA/AML regulatory standards
  • Review Sanctions and PEP alerts
  • Analyze regulatory and policy updates to ensure ongoing compliance with US regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Support implementation of new requirements arising from regulatory or policy changes
  • Provide AML-specific guidance to Front Office and Support staff on proposed customers and/or transactions
  • Assist with data analysis for the Bank's BSA/AML and OFAC Risk Assessments

 

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the Head of the Financial Security Advisory Team.

 

Key Internal Contacts: Client Onboarding, Front Office, Head Office Compliance, IT Support

 

Key External Contacts: External auditors and/or regulators (as needed during exams)

 

Compensation

Base Salary: $80,000

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of international AML and Sanctions regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • CAMS Certification
  • Knowledge of US AML and OFAC regulations
  • Familiarity with payment systems
  • Experience with AML tools/platforms
