We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable German Instructor to lead engaging after-school enrichment classes this fall. This program introduces students to the fundamentals of the German language through interactive, hands-on lessons that make learning both fun and meaningful.
Students will develop foundational skills in vocabulary, pronunciation, everyday conversation, basic grammar, and cultural awareness through games, activities, songs, storytelling, and collaborative exercises. Our goal is to build confidence while fostering curiosity about language and global cultures in an engaging classroom environment.
Whether you're a native speaker, heritage speaker, fluent German speaker, educator, university student, or language enthusiast, this is a rewarding opportunity to inspire young learners while sharing your passion for language and culture.

What You'll Do
- Lead engaging German language classes in a fun, supportive, and interactive learning environment
- Teach foundational German vocabulary, pronunciation, conversational phrases, and basic grammar
- Introduce students to German culture through engaging activities, games, music, and storytelling
- Encourage communication, participation, and confidence in using a new language
- Adapt instruction to accommodate different learning styles and experience levels
- Foster an inclusive classroom where students feel comfortable learning and practicing German
- Monitor student progress and provide positive encouragement and constructive feedback
- Maintain classroom organization and a positive learning atmosphere
- Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
- Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an engaging and memorable learning experience
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in German (native, heritage, fluent, or advanced speakers encouraged to apply)
- Passion for language education, cultural exchange, and working with students
- Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
- Patient, energetic, dependable, and professional attitude
- Ability to make language learning fun, engaging, and accessible
- Comfortable leading interactive, student-centered activities
- Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp, or youth program experience is a plus but not required
- Background in German, Linguistics, Education, Foreign Languages, or related fields is highly encouraged
