Local Class A CDL Driver

POSITION:                

 

Local Class A CDL Driver

 

SCHEDULE:            

 

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday
  • Day shift
  • Home daily
  • Weekends off
  • Occasional overtime

 

WAGES:                    

 

  • $30 - $33/hr depending on qualifications and experience
  • In addition to the base wage listed, employees are also eligible to earn an additional monthly performance incentive subject to changes in plan design and in accordance with applicable law.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:           

 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • CDL Class A license
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Prior truck driving experience
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and/or maps
  • Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to sit for an extended period of time and to stoop, bend and walk
  • This is a safety sensitive position, and as such, applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing to include screening for marijuana

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Dimension lumber, panels, and other building material product knowledge
  • Forklift operating experience
  • Knowledge of equipment capabilities, load capacities, and height and length restrictions

   

RESPONSIBILITIES:         

 

  • Safely and efficiently deliver building materials to jobsites
  • Safely and efficiently unload materials at jobsites (ie. forklift, roll off and/or hand unload)
  • Oversee loading of truck and check load for accuracy
  • Complete daily and weekly vehicle safety inspections and maintenance reports and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment
  • Take photos of materials on jobsites upon completion of each delivery
  • Promptly report all accidents and incidents
  • Keep truck supplied, organized and clean
  • Other duties as assigned
