We are growing and looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual, positive individual to join our team as a Hydraulic Hose Counter Sales & Service Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, solving mechanical problems and working with their hands.
The right candidate will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a general understanding of hydraulic systems. Previous hydraulic experience is preferred, but we are willing to train a motivated person who is eager to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional counter service
- Listen to customers’ needs and help identify the correct hydraulic hose, fitting, adapter, or repair solution
- Manufacture custom hydraulic hose assemblies
- Identify hydraulic fittings, adapters, thread types, and connection requirements
- Troubleshoot hydraulic hose and fitting applications
- Assist customers with selecting the proper components for their equipment
- Inspect, diagnose, disassemble, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders
- Assist with the diagnosis and rebuilding of hydraulic pumps
- Prepare quotes, sales orders, and invoices
- Maintain accurate records of customer orders and repairs
- Keep the counter, shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized
- Receive, organize, and restock inventory
- Work closely with other team members to complete jobs accurately and efficiently
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with strong hands-on problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to help customers and coworkers
- Dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Able to accurately measure parts and identify mechanical components
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Able to learn product information, fitting types, thread styles, and hydraulic applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple customer requests and changing priorities
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills
- Ability to safely lift and handle hoses, cylinders, pumps, and other hydraulic components
Preferred Experience
- Hydraulic hose assembly
- Hydraulic fittings and adapters
- Hydraulic cylinder repair
- Hydraulic pump repair
- Counter sales or industrial parts sales
- Automotive, heavy equipment, agricultural, manufacturing, or mechanical repair
- Reading calipers, thread gauges, and other measuring tools
