Miller Wachman, LLP is a growing public accounting firm located in Boston, Massachusetts, conveniently located near public transportation. We are seeking one to two motivated accounting graduates to join our team as full-time Staff Accountants.
Unlike many larger firms, our professionals gain meaningful, hands-on experience across tax, accounting, and assurance services while working directly with experienced CPAs, business owners, nonprofit organizations, and closely held businesses. Position Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant, you will work alongside experienced professionals in both tax and assurance engagements, including:
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for:
- Individuals
- Corporations
- Partnerships
- Trusts and Estates
- Assist with tax planning and tax research projects.
- Participate in compilation, review, and audit engagements for clients across a variety of industries.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting workpapers.
- Perform account reconciliations, analytical procedures, and other accounting services.
- Assist with bookkeeping and accounting engagements using QuickBooks.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax and accounting matters.
- Assist partners and managers with consulting and special projects.
- Develop technical accounting and tax knowledge through on-the-job experience and continuing education.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or
- Master's degree in Accounting or
- Currently enrolled in a Master's in Accounting program.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Prior accounting experience through an internship or public accounting position is preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with exceptional attention to detail.
- Desire to pursue CPA licensure is strongly encouraged.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (or currently pursuing a Master's in Accounting)
- Accounting major
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- U.S. work authorization required
