Job Position: Part Time Certified School Nurse (CSN)

Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Certified School Nurse needed in Livingston, NJ. this position is Part Time and flex schedule the school nurse is responsible for assisting in coordinating and/or providing necessary health-related services to support the educational programming and physical needs of assigned students. All duties are to be performed in accordance with State Board of Education policies and procedures and state law regarding nurse practice. 

Responsibilities:

• Assess all students, faculty, and staff.




• Triage and treat any and all illnesses and injuries.




• Educate and counsel children and families regarding health – related issues.




• Document care provided according to school policy, procedures and protocol.




• Other duties as they may arise from time to time as may be assigned by a building administrator.




• Attend training sessions, in-service workshops, and update skills as necessary. 




• Provide advice and possible solutions to supervisor, principal, or other appropriate staff concerning health or safety hazards in the school environment. 




• Provide support and training to students for all activities of daily living, including toileting, oral and dental hygiene.




• Participate in meetings to develop and update I.E.P.’ s and C.E.R.’s., as necessary. 




• Ensuring that proper first aid and health care supplies are in stock and re-ordered as necessary.

Qualifications:

• NJ Registered Nurse Required




• School Nurse Certification
