Print and Design Production Specialist

About Us

For more than 20 years, EPI Colorspace has helped brands bring their visions to life. From our Gaithersburg, MD facility, we design, print, fabricate, and install large-format graphics, signage, tradeshow exhibits, and environmental branding for a roster for some of the largest enterprise clients in the DMV area including Amazon, The Smithsonian Institute, JBG Smith and over 200+ big names. Everything happens here under one roof, from first concept to final install.

The Role

We're looking for a versatile print and graphics production person who's as comfortable at a design workstation as running the machines on the shop floor. The role will involve design work in Adobe such as prepping and rendering files as well as hands-on work in operating the large-format printers, trimming and mounting panels, and getting a booths ready to ship.

It's a hands-on, fast-moving role for someone who takes real pride in a clean, precise, well-made finished product and who wants to see their work out in the world at scale. We pay for results: strong output and top-quality work are rewarded with higher pay.

What You'll Do

  • Prep, render, and color-proof artwork and production files for large-format output, making sure everything is print-ready and on-brand
  • Support graphic design and layout: adapting client art, building files to spec, and troubleshooting anything that won't print clean
  • Operate and run our large-format printing machines: loading media, managing print queues, monitoring quality, and keeping the equipment clean while running across a range of materials and substrates
  • Handle light fabrication and finishing including cutting, mounting, laminating, assembly, and install prep
  • Keep projects on schedule and hold the line on quality, especially when deadlines are tight

What We're Looking For

  • Solid proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and comfort with production-grade file setup
  • Print production and/or large-format printing experience is a strong plus
  • Hands-on and mechanically comfortable: at ease running equipment and doing shop, fabrication, and finishing work
  • A sharp eye for detail, color, and craftsmanship
  • A hungry, get-it-done attitude. A willingness to hustle and get projects in as needed, including evenings and over weekends when a deadline or install calls for it
  • Versatility and a willingness to help wherever needed

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance

Ability to Commute:

  • Gaithersburg, MD 20877 (Preferred)
