• Junior Kennel Assistant: $10.00/hour
• Kennel Assistant: $11.00/hour (based on experience)

Shelley's Crate Escape LLC is looking for a dependable, hardworking animal lover to join our growing team. We provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for our canine and feline guests, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to exceptional pet care.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in a job well done, and understands that excellent animal care begins with cleanliness, consistency, and attention to detail.

Please note: This is not a position where you'll spend your shift playing with dogs. Caring for animals requires dedication, physical work, and a willingness to perform the essential tasks that keep our guests healthy, comfortable, and safe.

Position Responsibilities

• Pick up animal waste from indoor and outdoor play areas
• Mop floors and maintain a clean facility throughout the shift
• Clean and sanitize kennels, crates, food and water bowls, and common areas
• Clean up accidents promptly and thoroughly
• Provide final evening potty breaks for boarding dogs
• Feed and care for dogs and cats according to their individual instructions
• Monitor pets for any signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior
• Wash, dry, and fold blankets, towels, and bedding
• Restock cleaning and pet care supplies as needed
• Assist in preparing the facility for closing each evening
• Follow all cleaning, sanitation, and safety protocols

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

• Honest, trustworthy, and dependable
• Punctual with excellent attendance
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A self-starter who takes initiative
• A hard worker who isn't afraid of physical labor
• A positive team player with a willingness to help others
• Calm, patient, and confident around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Comfortable caring for both dogs and cats
• Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a clean, organized environment
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for most of the shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with dogs, cats, or other animals is preferred but not required.
• We are happy to train the right person with a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for animal care.
