Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions among children
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in a preschool or similar setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively through classroom management skills
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on nurturing and supporting diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with early childhood curriculum planning
- Bilingual (Haitian Creole) preferred.
