Position Title: Industrial Hygiene Technician
Location: Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah
(Service may be required throughout Hill AFB and geographically separated units, including Little Mountain, Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), and Wendover Site.)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Federal Government Contract
Contract Duration: One (1) Base Year + Four (4) Option Years
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Up to 40 hours per week

Absolute Staffers is seeking qualified Industrial Hygiene Technicians to support the 75th Medical Group, Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Position Responsibilities
As an Industrial Hygiene Technician, you will:
- Conduct industrial hygiene and occupational health surveys.
- Perform workplace health risk assessments.
- Evaluate chemical, physical, and environmental hazards.
- Conduct personal air sampling and exposure monitoring.
- Perform noise surveys and industrial ventilation assessments.
- Document worker exposures and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Maintain occupational health records using the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS).
- Assist with environmental and occupational health surveillance programs.
- Support regulatory compliance and workplace safety initiatives.
- Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Bioenvironmental Engineering personnel to support Air Force mission readiness.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university; or
- Prior certification as a 7-Level Bioenvironmental Engineering Technician (or equivalent sister-service Industrial Hygiene Technician).
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Industrial Hygiene experience.
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene and relevant internships may be considered in lieu of the experience requirement.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with occupational and environmental health terminology.
- Experience using standard office software and computer systems.
- Understanding of HIPAA, Privacy Act, and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain technical documentation.
