Quality Testing Internship – Fall 2026

About Us:
New York Embroidery Studio (NYES) PPE Division manufactures medical PPE for government contracts. Our quality team ensures that both incoming materials and finished products meet performance and compliance standards. This internship provides hands-on experience in fabric and product testing, material inspections, and regulatory compliance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
About the Internship:
The Quality Testing Intern will support both on-site and external testing of nonwoven materials and finished PPE gowns. Responsibilities include:
- Material Receiving & Inspection – Assess and log incoming fabric for visual, and performance compliance.
- Fabric & Product Testing – Assist with GSM, tensile strength, tear resistance, and seam integrity test coordination for raw materials and finished gowns to ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and AAMI PB70 standards.
- Sample Logging & Tracking – Maintain organized records within the NYES PPE Division Tracking System and QMS of test results and compliance records.
- Process Improvement – Help refine testing procedures and quality control workflows.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Textile Science, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working in a high-speed production environment with lab equipment and data tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools.
