This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality systems management, data analytics, and process improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a tech-savvy and detail-oriented Quality Systems Intern to support our Quality Management System (QMS). This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, experience with data tools, and an interest in process automation and compliance management. You’ll work closely with our Quality and Production teams to optimize data tracking, reporting, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and improving Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and compliance records.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Help develop automated data tracking systems for production quality and compliance reporting.
- Support internal audits and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes by collecting and organizing findings.
- Collaborate with the team to streamline digital recordkeeping and reporting using software tools (e.g., Zoho Creator, Excel)
- Assist in the creation of training materials and procedural documentation.
- Develop custom reports and dashboards to enhance decision-making for quality and production teams.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain hands-on experience in Quality Systems Management (QMS) in a regulated industry.
- Learn to use data analytics tools to drive quality and process improvements.
- Develop expertise in internal auditing, CAPA, and regulatory compliance.
- Enhance problem-solving and project management skills through cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in Excel, Google Sheets, Javascript and/or HTML (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with Zoho Creator or other database tools is a plus.
- Excellent writing skills for documentation, SOP development, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
- Chinese or Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
