Part-Time Afterschool Assistant / Youth Mentor (K–5)
Location: Florence Elementary School
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM (Up to 15 hours/week)
Pay: $15.00–$25.00 per hour (Based on experience and teaching credentials)
About the Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic, dependable individuals who enjoy working with elementary-aged children. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring teachers, education majors, and anyone passionate about making a positive impact in children’s lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with homework and academic support.
- Supervise and engage children during outdoor recreation and sports.
- Lead fun, hands-on enrichment activities, including STEM, arts, science, history, and other educational projects.
- Foster a safe, positive, and respectful environment while serving as a positive role model.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children (schools, daycares, camps, tutoring, or similar settings) is preferred.
- Teaching certification or credentials qualify for the highest starting pay.
- Must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Reliable, energetic, punctual, and passionate about mentoring children.
