Social Games and Cognitive Skills Instructor

Job Description

Childream LLC is looking for a patient, responsible, and creative Social Games & Cognitive Skills Instructor to work with children and young adults in individualized or small-group learning sessions.

This program uses structured games, social activities, puzzles, reading-based activities, problem-solving tasks, role-play, and hands-on projects to support students’ attention, communication, turn-taking, flexible thinking, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily learning skills.

This is not a clinical therapy position. The instructor will provide educational and recreational support under the guidance of the Program Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 1:1 or small-group Social Games & Cognitive Skills sessions
  • Use board games, puzzles, role-play, reading activities, creative tasks, and structured social games to support student goals
  • Help students practice turn-taking, following directions, problem-solving, communication, and social interaction
  • Adjust activities based on each student’s age, ability level, attention span, and learning style
  • Create a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment
  • Communicate with the Program Coordinator about student progress and class performance
  • Complete brief session notes after each class

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young adults preferred
  • Experience with students with developmental needs, autism, ADHD, learning differences, or social communication challenges is a plus
  • Background or interest in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, Recreation Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, ABA, Social Work, or related fields preferred
  • Patient, reliable, flexible, and comfortable working with different learners
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Mandarin Chinese ability is strongly preferred
  • Bilingual Mandarin/English fluency is highly preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

Schedule
Part-time, flexible schedule. Weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends may be available depending on family needs.

Pay
Based on experience.
