Job Title: Video Production Assistant / Intern

• Employer: Claremont Community Media Center (also known as Claremont Community Television Inc.)
• Work setting: On-site (Claremont, NH)
• Time commitment: Part-time, up to 10 hours per week
• Compensation: $15-20/hour, dependent upon experience

Claremont Community Media Center is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and motivated Video Production Assistant to help tell the stories of our community through engaging video content. This part-time position is an excellent opportunity for a high school or college student, recent graduate, or anyone interested in journalism, filmmaking, communications, photography, or digital media.

Key Responsibilities

• Research story ideas and identify potential feature topics.
• Conduct background research to prepare for interviews and productions.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with local residents, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations.
• Assist with planning and producing video projects from concept through final delivery.
• Operate professional video cameras and related production equipment.
• Set up and manage lighting, microphones, and audio recording equipment.
• Assist with green screen and studio productions.
• Edit video content using industry-standard editing software.
• Organize, archive, and manage digital media files.
• Capture still photography for promotional and storytelling purposes.
• Create content for social media and digital platforms.
• Assist with motion graphics, animation, and multimedia projects based on interest and experience.
• Support live event recordings and community productions as needed.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners on a variety of creative projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in video production, journalism, communications, filmmaking, photography, or digital media.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new production techniques and software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic familiarity with video editing software is helpful but not required.
• Reliable transportation is preferred, as many productions take place throughout the community.
