JOB SUMMARY
The Sacramento State College Corps program is where college students help community efforts, learn new skills, network, and find out what working in their future career fields might feel like. This program is part of a bigger effort by California Volunteers to encourage students to: help with important projects in education, food distribution, health, community and environmental partnerships; succeed in school and prepare for their future careers; work with local agencies and non-profits to alleviate local issues. The Community Partner Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Sacramento State College Corps Fellows program, Community Host Partners, and College Corps Fellows. This role is dedicated to cultivating strong community partnerships and ensuring meaningful service opportunities that support student success and community impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full lifecycle of Community Host Partners and Sacramento State College Corps Fellows, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting.
- Student Placement & Retention Support: Collaborate with project leads to establish placement slots, assist students with enrollment and time-tracking, and develop training and workshops aimed at boosting fellow retention and engagement.
- Site Monitoring & Compliance: Execute the Site Monitoring Plan by conducting formal, documented site visits throughout the Sacramento region.
- Program Marketing & Outreach: Supports year-round marketing and outreach efforts including social media management, storytelling, photography, and campus engagement to boost program visibility.
- Relationship Management & Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary liaison between advisors, fellows, and site supervisors; manage student and partner concerns using informal resolution and restorative action plans when issues arise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the Behavioral or Social Sciences, Education or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Experience working on complex community educational programs or volunteer educational management programs.
- Experience building respectful relationships with community leaders across various sectors (e.g., institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.)
- Experience as a program lead, managing projects, directing others, and overseeing data collection and evaluation.
- Experience maintaining performance measures, producing reports, and tracking progress.
- Proficiency in creating print and web-based materials.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills for addressing diverse student needs and collaborating with partners and colleagues.
- Experience delivering presentations and workshops.
- Experience working independently to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple complex and detailed projects, adapt to changing work priorities, and perform interrelated tasks.
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications including email, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software such as the programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
- Ability to deliver, evaluate, and adjust new programs and curricula.
- Ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions, and complete tasks under speed or productivity quotas.
- Experience working effectively and respectfully in diverse settings.
- Must be legally eligible to drive in California, complete and pass an online training course, maintain a good driving record, and be acceptable for vehicle insurance coverage under the University Enterprises insurance plan. Must continue to meet the established driving standards, driving record will be monitored with the California Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure compliance.
- Must be fingerprinted and pass a background check. Must continue to meet the established standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in one of the Behavioral or Social Sciences, Education or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of community-based and government organizations in the K-12 education, food security, and climate action sectors.
- Experience in utilizing internet-based technology to support program management including AirTable, Box, and Teams.
- Experience in using a student information system, such as PeopleSoft/Common Management System and EAB, which are used in the California State University system.
- Experience working with undocumented students and knowledge of AmeriCorps.
- Experience working with federally designated Minority-Serving Institutions, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and/or Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time, non-exempt (eligible for overtime pay), benefited position that is covered under the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. Continued employment in this position is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises and the employee, and either University Enterprises or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
The selected candidate must furnish proof of eligibility to work in the United States. University Enterprises, Inc. is not a sponsoring agency (i.e. H-1B Visa).
