Assistant General Manager

D-BAT Solon is looking for a sales and customer service-oriented Assistant General Manager. This is a full-time position that includes a mixture of working front desk shifts as well as other duties

Duties:

  • Oversee camp/clinics
  • Execute Sales and Marketing plan to enable an increase in memberships, camps/clinics, and continue to grow other revenue streams
  • Work directly with GM to manage and finish projects, new business opportunities to help grow the facility
  • Organize, schedule, staff and promote the camps
  • Work the camps and clinics
  • Oversee the safety of campers
  • Help create flyers
  • Schedule instructors to work camps
  • Conduct a safety overview before EVERY camp
  • Print evaluation forms and tests
  • Set up stations
  • Assist with opening/closing duties
  • Answer phones/schedule lessons
  • Maintain the facility
  • Sell Proshop Products
  • Restock all Proshop products
  • Promote and sell memberships
  • Generating new clients
  • Creating a positive environment for all customers
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the facility
  • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
  • Manage and coordinate activities, including scheduling, preparation, marketing, selling, and presentation
  • Supervise staff and ensure proper production and customer service
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures
  • Assist in scheduling and managing shifts to ensure smooth operations
  • Coordinate events and banquet functions
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

  • Baseball/Softball college playing experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills to understand and work effectively with customers
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, friendly workplace
  • Strong time-management and business management skills
  • Background in baseball/softball or coaching youth sports
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, and problem solve
  • Knowledge of management principles and practices
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
