Job description:

St. Peter's School, a PreK–12 Catholic school in Mansfield, Ohio, is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Part-Time Spanish Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

We are looking for an educator who will inspire students to develop proficiency in Spanish while fostering an appreciation for Hispanic language and culture. The ideal candidate creates engaging, interactive lessons that build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

This position offers a flexible schedule and is ideal for a licensed teacher, retired educator, graduate student, adjunct instructor, or fluent Spanish speaker with teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish courses to middle and/or high school students.
• Develop engaging lessons aligned with course objectives.
• Create a positive, student-centered classroom environment.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Support the mission and values of St. Peter's School.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Teaching license preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
• Experience teaching children, adolescents, or adult learners preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and Diocese of Toledo Safe Environment requirements.
