Worship Music Leader

Duties:

Collaborate and coordinate with the Pastor to plan and lead Sunday service music and selected worship elements.

Collaborate and coordinate with the Pastor to plan and lead special service music and selected worship elements. Special services include seasonal services such as those that occur during the Christmas and Easter seasons and other special events/occasions as they occur.

Recruit, develop, and rehearse musicians and singers, and lead musicians, singers, and the congregation during regular worship services and special services.

Report to the Pastor for ongoing supervision.

Qualifications:

Strong Christian beliefs that are compatible with the theology of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), represented succinctly by the EPC Essentials which serve as the Statement of Faith of Harvest Church.

Skilled singer and instrumentalist (piano and/or guitar) with a comfortable up-front presence.

3-5 years of experience as a music and worship leader or (minimally) 3-5 years of experience as a member of a skilled music and worship team accompanied by a positive recommendation from that team’s music and worship leader.

Familiar and comfortable with worship music repertoire from standard hymns to early contemporary praise music (70s plus) to recent contemporary praise music (2000s).
