About the Role

QXO is seeking a highly motivated Senior Corporate Development Associate to join its Finance, Corporate Development and Strategy team. This role is designed for exceptional early-career professionals with 1–3 years of experience at a leading investment bank or top-tier private equity firm.

The ideal candidate has worked on complex M&A transactions, possesses outstanding financial modeling and valuation skills, and has experience evaluating investment opportunities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Exposure to acquisition financing, leveraged finance, or capital markets transactions is a plus.

The role has a dual reporting structure to the [Chief Finanical Officer & Chief Strategy Officer] and is a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership on acquisitions, capital allocation, corporate strategy, and other high-priority initiatives that will help shape the future of one of the fastest-growing companies in North America.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate acquisition opportunities through detailed financial, strategic, and operational analysis.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models, valuation analyses, merger models, and investment cases.
• Support all phases of the M&A process, including target identification, outreach, due diligence, transaction execution, and integration planning.
• Analyze acquisition financing alternatives and support capital structure and funding decisions.
• Conduct industry research, competitive analysis, and market mapping to identify strategic opportunities.
• Execute capital markets and acquisition financing activity in coordination with leading investment banks.
• Prepare investment memoranda, board materials, and presentations for senior executives and key stakeholders.
• Partner with leaders across finance, operations, technology, and business units to assess acquisition opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Synthesize large amounts of quantitative and qualitative information into clear recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Leverage AI tools, data analytics, and research platforms to enhance productivity and decision quality.

What You'll Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking at a leading global investment bank or at a top-tier private equity firm.
• Significant experience supporting M&A transactions; exposure to acquisition financing, leveraged finance, or capital markets transactions is highly desirable.
• Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital allocation, and transaction structuring.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment with high standards of excellence.
• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses clearly and concisely.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree required; finance, economics, accounting, engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
