Analyst, Commercial Real Estate
Company Description
Founded in 2010 as the hospitality arm of Cronheim Mortgage — New Jersey's oldest and largest independent real estate investment banker, with a serviced and managed portfolio exceeding $2 billion — Cronheim Hotel Capital (CHC) brings deep, sector-specific expertise to hotel finance while drawing on the resources, relationships, and institutional knowledge of the broader Cronheim platform.
CHC serves as advisor to hotel owners, developers, and institutional investors nationwide, arranging debt and equity for the full range of hospitality assets — from select-service and extended-stay properties to full-service and luxury hotels. Our team's specialized understanding of hotel operations, brand standards, and flag-specific underwriting, paired with Cronheim's decades of experience across the broader commercial real estate landscape, gives CHC a distinct advantage in structuring financing that works for lenders and operators alike.
Job Description
CHC is seeking a Real Estate Analyst to join its hospitality finance team. While the role has a primary focus on hotel and hospitality assets, analysts also gain exposure to other commercial real estate asset classes (multifamily, office, retail, and industrial) through Cronheim's broader platform, providing a well-rounded foundation in commercial real estate finance.
Responsibilities include:
- Investment analysis for hotel and other commercial real estate assets
- Cash flow and risk/return modeling, including hotel-specific metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, flow-through, and brand/PIP considerations)
- Researching and analyzing economic, demographic, financial, legal, and market-driven considerations for investment real estate, and presenting this research through offering memoranda
- Counseling hotel owners and developers on financing strategies
- Loan closing preparation and due diligence
- Marketing and preparation of materials for institutional investors and lenders
- Interaction with institutional investors, loan officers, hotel owners, and developers
- Integrating AI tools into traditional workflows
A hands-on training process will qualify the analyst to evaluate hotel properties and other commercial real estate asset types, understand the intricacies of local and national real estate and lodging markets, and become capable of pricing risk.
The Real Estate Analyst role is largely an in-person position at Cronheim Hotel Capital's Chatham, NJ office. Current employees live in Manhattan, Hoboken, Jersey City, Morristown, and other towns throughout Northern New Jersey.
This is an entry-level, salaried position, with potential for a bonus based on both personal performance and the performance of the Company.
