Quality Control Laboratory Technician (Chemistry/ HPLC) - Bishop, TX

Technician, not chemists. No candidates with Master's or PhD's will be considered

Note: Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work shift schedules, including holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Education:

• Minimum of Associate's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Chemistry with a minimum of 6 months lab experience, or a High School diploma with a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience:

• HPLC (High-performance liquid chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) experience preferred
• QC experience is preferred
• Must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work shift schedules, including holidays, weekends and overtime as required.
• Must possess good troubleshooting, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills and be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring housekeeping is maintained at appropriate levels
• Performing necessary tasks to comply with FDA and ISO regulations
• Understands Responsible Care and Quality Policies and performs job responsibilities safely by following documented work procedures and instructions, while keeping in mind the environmental aspects and their potential impacts.
• Providing coverage for other QC Lab Techs taking vacation.

• Perform tasks that enable the success of the entire laboratory team such as solution preparation, calibrations, and general housekeeping in the lab.
