Holistic Health Coordinator Intern

Overview

The Source of Hope is seeking a compassionate and organized Holistic Health & Wellness Program Coordinator Emerging Professional to assist in managing and promoting wellness programs that focus on beauty, health, and holistic care. This position offers hands-on experience supporting community wellness initiatives, scheduling services, and coordinating programs that align with The Source of Hope’s mission to provide affordable, holistic health services.

The ideal candidate has an interest in the beauty industry, wellness coordination, and community outreach, and will help manage service scheduling, client communication, and program promotion while gaining real-world experience in holistic health operations.

Compensation

This is an unpaid Emerging Professional internship that provides mentorship and valuable experience in health and wellness program management.

 

Schedule

August 3, 2026 - December 10, 2026 (subject to change, will be confirmed via email)

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (at Plano Chamber of Commerce): 9 AM – 1 PM / 2 PM (flexible)

     
  • Friday (at Clinic): 9 AM - 1 PM / 2 PM (flexible)

 

  • 15-20 hours per week
    • Since 20 hours is the maximum, the number of days / exact days of attendance are flexible. 
      • For example, both variations: M-Th (9 AM - 1 PM) and M, T, Th, F (9 AM - 2 PM) meet the hours requirement.

         
  • *Mandatory* monthly Volunteer Event: Fourth Saturday (6:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
    • Note: Attendance on fourth Friday of each month is not mandatory.
       

Emerging Professional Program

The Source of Hope’s Emerging Professional Program offers students and young adults real-world experience in leadership, nonprofit management, and community health. Participants gain practical skills, mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute to wellness initiatives that transform lives.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

     
  • Passion for holistic wellness, health promotion, and community service

     
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a dynamic environment

     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

     
  • Interest or background in beauty, wellness, or healthcare coordination

     
  • Detail-oriented, professional, and reliable

     
  • Ability to manage confidential client information responsibly

     

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

     
  • Currently enrolled in college, pursuing or interested in Health & Wellness, Business Administration, or a related field

     
  • Prior experience in wellness, salon coordination, or customer service is a plus but not required

     

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling wellness appointments and maintaining client communications

     
  • Support coordination of holistic health programs and community wellness events

     
  • Collaborate with beauty industry professionals to align services with holistic practices

     
  • Maintain organized records of services, appointments, and community partnerships

     
  • Support wellness campaigns and outreach initiatives

     
  • Help prepare marketing materials, flyers, and program reports

     
  • Participate in the Serving Hope event each month (4th Saturday, 6 AM – 1 PM)

     
  • Assist with day-to-day clinic operations and event setup as needed
