Immigration Intern

De Wit Immigration Law is hiring undergraduate interns for our Miami Shores office. You will work directly with our legal and marketing teams on real cases and projects for entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals from around the world who are building their careers and companies in the United States.

This internship offers more than shadowing. You will help prepare real filings, research real legal questions, and see how business immigration cases move from consultation to approval, with mentorship along the way. It is a strong fit for students considering law school or careers in legal practice, public service, or business.

The role is based at our Miami Shores office. We are open to hybrid arrangements, but we believe the best learning happens working together in person. Scheduling is flexible around academic commitments. Part-time or full-time. Compensation is $16 per hour; for-credit or unpaid arrangements are available where an academic program requires them.

About our firm: De Wit Immigration Law is a Miami-based firm focused on business immigration and federal immigration litigation. We are deliberately low-volume: we take fewer cases and do them exceptionally well, and our reputation reflects it. We use technology to work efficiently, and we reward ownership and results. Our team is hybrid, with members in Miami, Latin America, and Europe.

What you will do: help prepare immigration applications and supporting documents. Conduct legal and policy research on business immigration and related litigation. Participate in drafting internal memos, client-facing materials, and digital content. Help organize case files, update internal systems, and track case milestones. Contribute to webinars, newsletters, blog posts, and other educational materials. Engage in client communications and outreach, under supervision.

Qualifications: you are an undergraduate student (or recent graduate) genuinely interested in immigration law. You write clearly and enjoy research. You are curious, reliable, and organized, with close attention to detail. English fluency is required; Spanish is strongly preferred.

HOW TO APPLY: To be considered, please complete our application here: https://screenroom-production.up.railway.app/apply?role=immigration-intern

It includes a short writing exercise and an attention-to-detail test, and it asks for your resume, a cover letter, and a one-minute introduction video. Please set aside about an hour. Applications completed through our portal are the ones our review team evaluates.

De Wit Immigration Law is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
